Winter Fair

Every year we welcome our families and friends to the school for a celebration of the coming of winter! You are cordially invited to enjoy arts and crafts, children’s games, food and treats, puppet shows, and holiday gift shopping.

Student performances

10:00 am – Class 5
10:30 am – Class 6
10:45 am – Class 2
12:00 pm – Class 4

2:45 pm  – Class 3

Our students are ready to perform their daily learning in front of families and friends! See how different pedagogical activities help make learning fun and experiential. Each performance will last approximately 10 – 15 minutes.

What goes on in a Waldorf classroom

11:00 to 11:30 am – Storytelling with Teacher Gabriel
12:30 to 1:00 pm – Form drawing and free hand geometry with Teachers Deepa and Mala

This is for adults to come sit in our classroom and experience what it is like to be a Waldorf student! Get a taste of the learning experience – games, verses, artistic activities, and classroom instruction – our students enjoy every day.

12:30 to 1:00 pm – What is Eurythmy, and the importance of rhythm for the developing child by Teacher Zoran

Experience this movement art for yourself and find out how can parents support a child’s healthy development at home.

2:30 to 3:00 pm – Waldorf students’ transition into mainstream schools  by Teacher Cindy

A description of how our teachers prepare children for life beyond the Waldorf pedagogy – from application to entry into various mainstream schools in Hong Kong and overseas.
